British military issue bolt action Lee Enfield ShtLE short rifle, manufactured circa 1928. Imported by Federal Ordinance Inc. (left side of butt socket on receiver), 25.2" barrel with tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters and adjustable for windage, fixed blade front sight with no protectors, curved grooved trigger, rear sling swivel, sling swivel mount in front of magazine, and no bayonet lug. Fed from detachable 10-rd box magazine, and has no magazine cutoff. Sporterized hardwood stock with brass trapdoor buttplate, and plugged stock disc hole. The metal finish seems to be parkerized. Bore looks good with strong rifling. Action is smooth/tight. Wood is overall very good, and the metal is good with minor handling wear. Observed serial numbers do not match. Receiver is marked "G.R. 1928" stamped on the buttsocket. Includes (1) Magazine.
Condition is NRA Good.
