Smith & Wesson 2nd model ( Model of 1902) M&P .38 Special. Circa 1902-1903. 5" tapered, pinned barrel, half moon front blade, small integral u-notch rear sights, round butt K frame with four screws, checkered hard rubber grips with S&W motifs, blued finish, exposed extractor rod. Large S&W trade mark on right sideplate, two line address/patent dates on top of barrel, cartridge info on left barrel. Markings are clear/readable. Serial number matched on heel, cylinder and barrel. Bore is bright, strong rifling with some scattered light pitting, the grips are very good, action is smooth with tight lock-up and the blue is about 10% in protected areas with a rest a brown/gray patina.
