^Lot 1104 Carl Gustafs / CAI M96/38 'Mauser' 6.5x55mm #36284

Swedish military 'Mauser" style bolt action rifle imported by CAI, St. Albans, VT. Manufactured circa 1915. Features blued finish with polished in-the-white bolt assembly, straight gripped wood stock with finger grooves on the forend, flat steel buttplate, 24" barrel, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, partridge front sight, Vasteras type rear sight, straight bolt handle, manual safety, sling swivels, smooth curved trigger. Matching numbers (847) on receiver, bolt handle, bolt sleeve, safety lever, cocking piece, floor plate, rear sight leaf, buttplate, both barrel bands, and bolt release. Bore is dirty, but the rifling looks good. Retains 30% of original blued finish, metal shows a small amount of edge wear, there may be the smallest amount of rust on the floorplate and trigger guard. Bolt is smooth and is in good working condition. Stock is fair with heavy handling wear, tape residue, a dope chart, and retains Torped Overslag stock disc noting a 6.51 bore diameter and #1 barrel condition.
