^Lot 1102 Husqvarna / CAI M38 'Mauser' 6.5x55mm #649641

Swedish military bolt action service short rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm, manufactured circa 1942. Mauser style action and designed for mounted troops. Imported by CAI. of St. Albans, V.T. with small import marks on the right side of the barrel. Features a blued finish, 23.5" barrel, partridge style front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 600 meters, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, smooth curved trigger, threaded muzzle, bent bolt handle, manual safety, sling swivels, internal five round box magazine with hinged floorplate, smooth wood handguard, finger grooved forend, and straight grip shoulder stock with flat metal buttplate. Stock has an inlayed brass Torped Overslag disc with a #2 hold over and a '2' barrel condition (tarnished disc). Matching serial numbers (641) on the receiver, bolt knob, cocking piece, safety lever, rear sight leaf, rear sight elevator, and buttplate. Rifle retains approximately 70% of it's blued finish, metal showing handling wear, and minimal edge wear, and no observed rust. Bore condition cannot be determined because it is full of cosmoline. Action is smooth, and wood stocks are good but showing normal handling wear.
