^Lot 1100 Husqvarna / CAI M38 'Mauser' 6.5x55mm #647795

Swedish military bolt action service short rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm, manufactured circa 1942. Mauser style action and designed for mounted troops. Imported by CAI. of St. Albans, V.T. with small import marks on the right side of the barrel. Features a blued finish, 23.5" barrel, inverted "V" front sight (painted), tangent rear sight graduated to 600 meters, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, smooth curved trigger, threaded muzzle, bent bolt handle, manual safety, sling swivels, internal five round box magazine with hinged floorplate, smooth wood handguard, Finger grooved forend, and straight grip shoulder stock with metal buttplate. Stock has an inlayed brass Torped Overslag disc with a #2 hold over and an indistinguishable barrel condition mark (tarnished disc). Matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt knob, and buttplate. Rifle retains approximately 80% of it's blued finish, metal showing handling wear, small spots of rust on front sling swivel, bayonet stud/barrel band, magazine floorplate and triggerguard. Action is smooth, bore is dirty with moderately worn rifling, and wood stocks are good but showing handling wear.
