British military bolt action rifle dated 1955. (Underside of barrel) Features original finished metal, two piece straight gripped stock with full length handguards, brass buttplate with trapdoor, 25" barrel, bayonet lug, smooth curved trigger, protected blade front sight, rear peep sight with flip-up elevation ladder, sling swivels, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety. Receiver dated " UF55", refers to a Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 2 rifle manufactured by the Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerley in 1955. Bore is full of cosmoline, wood is very good and metal retains its original finish. Numbers on receiver and magazine(A 31649) do not match. Scope mount and screws included.
