^Lot 1044 Sako 1928/30 7.62x54r #46455

Finnish Civil Guard bolt action short rifle chambered in 7.62x54rmm. Manufactured by Sako circa 1936. Features a blued finish, 27" barrel, shrouded blade front sight, tangent/flip-up ladder rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters, two barrel bands with a bayonet lug on the front band, cleaning rod, fixed five round magazine with hinged floorplate, hexagonal receiver with stripper clip guide cuts, straight bolt handle, smooth curved trigger, sling swivels, smooth wood handguard, and full-length straight grip shoulder stock with finger grooves in the forend and metal buttplate. The top of the barrel is stamped "S" inside a gear wheel, "D", "Sk.Y.", "46455", and "1936". The serial numbers on the receiver and stock are matching, the serial number on the bolt handle is non-matching. Rifle is covered in cosmoline but appears to retains approximately 75% of its blued finish showing scattered wear. The action is mechanically sound, the bore condition is not able to be determined as it is filled with cosmoline, and the wood stocks are good with blemishes & small repairs.
