Beautifully conditioned German military tube fed bolt action service rifle chambered in 11mm, manufactured circa 1888. Features a blued 31.4" barrel, dovetailed inverted "v" front sight, ladder style rear sight graduated to 1,600 meters, stacking rod, three barrel bands, 8 round tubular magazine with magazine cut-off on the left side of the receiver, straight bolt handle, smooth trigger, manual safety on the rear of the bolt and smooth full-length straight grip wood shoulder stock with metal buttplate. Serial numbers match on the receiver, barrel, cut-off spring, trigger guard, rear sight, all barrel bands, butt plate, screws, bolt handle, safety, extractor and the magazine tube cap. The receiver/bolt are polished, the barrel displays a bright blue finish and the front barrel band, rear barrel bands & triggerguard do as well. Magazine cut-off spring displays a fire blue finish, Action is smooth, the bore is excellent/bright with strong rifling and the honey colored wood stock is excellent showing a number of clear Imperial German inspector cartouches. Chamber marked 'Spandau" under crown with German proofs.
