Frontier era stag gripped Bowie knife with period leather scabbard. 6" clipped point blade marked IXL and last letters of Sheffield. Handmade western fringed leather scabbard with silver concho that has "black" patina. Great horn frontier grip from antler with exceptional patina. Jim Wells buffalo hunt collection. Note: blade rusted, worn, many imperfections. Just the way collector's like them (out of the attic).
