^Lot 846 Colt Army Special .38 SN: 432551

Vintage double-action revolver, 6-rd capacity. Manufactured 1919. Built on the E frame. 6" round barrel. Round front sight blade, with notch cut rear sight. Exposed extractor rod. Blued metal finish. 2-line Colt address, and patent dates on top of the Barrel. "Colt Army Special" on left side of barrel, 'Rampant Colt" on left frame. Checkered hard rubber grips with 'Colt'. motifs. Blued finish is about 60% with handling wear on the straps, holster wear, edge wear and scattered patches of light pitting, mostly on the right frame. Bore is excellent/bright, action is smooth with tight lock-up. Grips sound with some wear to the checkering, some scratches.
