^Lot 773 Belgium Velo-Dog Revolver 5.5mm NVSN

Small, compact 6-shot revolver with folding trigger designed for cyclists (Velocipede is French for bicycle) for defense against dogs. 5 1/2" overall with 1 3/4" barrel. Single-shot, trigger falls when cocked. Swing out ejector rod. Liege proof on cylinder, "R" under crown proof on barrel, meaning rifled barrel, 1894. Action functions well. Bore and cylinders are very good. Blued barrel, cylinder are good with edge/handling wear, traces of case hardening on the frame, nitre blue on the trigger, hammer, and ejector rod sleeve. Checkered black hard rubber grips are excellent. There is scattered areas of very light pitting.
