^Lot 708 Spanish / CAI Destroyer Carbine 9mm Largo SN: 3006

Spanish bolt action pistol caliber carbine manufactured by Gaztanaga y Compania and imported by CAI, of St Albans VT. The Destroyer Carbine is a small carbine chambered for the 9×23mm Largo (Bergmann) cartridge. It was used by Spanish police and prison services, including the Guardia Civil from 1935-1969. "F1" date code-1960, flaming bomb proofs. Features blued finish, bolt assembly in the white, full length wood stock with semi-pistol grip wrist, 21" barrel, blade front sight, flip-up ladder type rear sight, manual flag safety, 6-rd detachable magazine, side mounted sling swivels. Bore has what appears to be surface rust in the grooves. Retains 85% blued finish with scratches & scuff marks, edge wear. Wood is good condition with many scratches & dents, some gouges. Markings include "DESTROYER / TRADE MARK" on receiver ring forming an oval around the image of a naval vessel. Includes (1) magazine.
