lever-action sporting rifle. Produced from 1984 to 1998. This model is essentially the same as the Sporter version, but with a cross-bolt safety added. 22' barrel with hooded blade/bead front and adjustable rear sporting sights, blue finish, 3/4 length tube magazine, smooth walnut stock and forearm with curved lever/wrist, steel fore cap, sling swivel studs, solid Marlin recoil pad, grip cap. Finger extension installed on hammer spur, smooth gold toned trigger, grip safety, drilled/tapped for optics. Bore is excellent/bright, lever-action is smooth, blue is about 98% and the wood is very good with some scratches. "JM" marked barrel and Marlin "Bullseye inletted on underside of stock.
