^Lot 448a Remington 1907-15 'Berthier' 8mm Lebel NVSN

Bolt-Action French Infantry rifle. Manufactured by Remington circa 1914-15 on contract for the French Gov't. Marked "Remington Mle 1907-15" on the left side of receiver, and "RAC 1907-15" on the right side of the barrel. Berthier contract. Designed for the 8mm Lebel cartridge Loaded by a Mannlicher 3-rd clip. Blued finish, with one-piece wood stock with smooth steel buttplate, sling swivels. 31"barrel with raised blade front and adjustable 'ladder' rear sights, straight trigger. Bore is excellent/bright, bolt-action is smooth, bolt locks up tight. The blue finish is about 97%, the bolt is polished. Wood stock is overall excellent/sound with a few very minor dings. You won't find a better conditioned one.
