^Lot 219a Colt 1862 Police .36 Cal #35080

Antique Colt "Police" revolver manufactured 1867. Blue finish with case hardened frame, 6.5' round barrel, brass bead sight, half fluted cylinder, brass triggerguard and backstrap, one line New Address on barrel, 'Colts Patent" on left frame and 'N' on left triggerguard, patent date is not visable. Serial numbers matched on barrel, frame, triggerguard, backstrap and wedge. Markings are clear, readable. Action is smooth with tight lock up, half cock works well. Bore is very good with strong rifling with some minor rust spots. Grips are very good. Revolver retains about 20% of its original blue in protected area and on the underside of the barrel. Includes an Original Colt’s Patent Civil War Era .36 Cal. Double Cavity Bullet for ball and bullet. The "Colt's Patent" on the upper cutter is well worn, partially readable. Pitted but functional.
