Exceptional, control feed bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1948 and subsequently restocked by a master stockmaker. Features a blued finish, 22" round tapered barrel, ramped bead top blade front sight, flip-up elevation-adjustable rear sporting sight, Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5x scope installed with Talley style QD rings, serrated curved trigger, three-position safety on the rear of the bolt, and internal box magazine with hinged floorplate. The stock is constructed of highly figured American walnut in the classic American sporter style and features a hand rubber oil finish, fine hand checkering with ribbons, Schnabel forend, Ebony pistol grip cap, beaded right hand cheek piece, inlet sling swivel studs, fitted Winchester recoil pad & 13 ¼” LOP. Rifle retains approximately 85% of its original blued finish showing scattered scratches/wear and some minor rust on the floorplate. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is excellent, the optics are clear with a duplex reticle, and the custom stock is excellent
