US military semi-automatic rifle, manufactured circa 1943. The workhorse rifle of the US military in WWII and beyond. Features parkerized finish, walnut stock & hand guards, 24" barrel, adjustable sights with protected front blade & protected rear peep, fixed magazine for en-bloc clip, manual safety. Trigger guard has stamped style trigger guard. Barrel marked "3 SA 2 45". Bolt marked "D28287-12SA W9B". Rear sight marked "W" in hexagon. "WRA" observed on hammer. "SA" marked trigger housing. Bore is shiny/bright. Various metal parts show different shades of parkerized finish, 80% coverage, thinning from handling. The wood is good or better condition with scratches and gouges, "P" in circle on bottom of wrist, circular cut depression to bottom of grip, stamped numbers on bottom of butt. Includea a CMP COA.
