High quality over/under double barrel shotgun. Imported by Gauger & Schimke Inc. (GSI), a past importer of German firearms, left side of breech "GEBRUDER MERKEL/SUHL Made in Germany", Underside of barrel dated " 1/12/1976, German proofs. Chambered for 2 ¾” 12 gauge shells. Features blued 28” Krupp steel barrels with matted solid rib, & fixed IM over IC chokes, ejectors, brass front bead, white mid bead. French greyed Scalloped receiver with floral/scroll engraving, barrel sliding tang safety, single selective trigger with a barrel selector, a sliding switch on the tang behind the trigger, oil finished three-piece walnut forend with fine point pattern hand checkering and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with black grip cap & Merkel buttplate. LOP-14" Shotgun retains approximately 97% of its original finish showing minor wear. The action is tight, the bores are excellent and the walnut stocks are near excellent with minor scratches
