Method of take is shotgun sea duck hunts and hunter's choice for deer hunts. Schedule the hunt for open dates from mid-October - December 2026 or 2027; no alternate dates available. Arrival and departure point is the city of Kodiak, Alaska where you are met by a representative of local hotel/air charter shuttle service. Kodiak waterfowl season is October 8 - January 22. The sea duck hunt presents non-stop action and the trophy Sitka Black-tailed deer and fox offers the opportunity for a unique trophy. Kodiak offers three types of fox: red fox, cross-fox and silver fox. The sea duck hunting is done primarily over decoys from shore or jump-shooting birds. Numerous sea duck species use Kodiak Island open waters as their wintering grounds and typically guests are treated to opportunities for Harlequin, Old Squaw (Long-Tailed Duck), Mergansers (Common and Red Breasted), Scoters (Common, Surf and White-Winged), King and Common Eider. Included are USCG licensed transporter, registered Alaska Waterfowl Guide, warm and comfortable ocean front wilderness house accommodations, hearty home-style cooked and box lunch meals, in-field transportation, duck decoy spread, VHF/marine radio, and freezer accommodations for trophy ducks and game meat.
