Hunt with a deserving combat veteran, Retired U.S. Army Masters Sergeant Bobby Ehria who completed multiple combat tours in Bosnia and Iraq after 9/11.
During his second consecutive deployment in 2006 to Ramadi, Iraq, Bobby was severely wounded by a suicide truck bomber who drove a truck with over 100 propane tanks into his unit’s compound killing 16 soldiers and wounding 56 U.S. and Iraqi soldiers.
Bobby was severely injured by the fireball from the massive explosion receiving third degree burns to 40 percent of his upper body requiring 37 reconstructive surgeries and countless hours of therapy.
Sergeant Ehria was credited for saving dozens of U.S. and Iraqi lives. Sergeant Ehria is a highly decorated combat veteran with a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, five Meritorious Service Medals, and inducted into the coveted Audie Murphy Club for military leadership.
Since his medical retirement in 2008, Bobby championed and has been a strong advocate for veterans and their families: helped more than 3,500 veterans lifted out of homelessness; key player in passing two Texas laws to help injured combat veterans; championed $165 million in grants for veteran-focused programs; and manage a treatment center for veterans in Texas.
