Southern Lakes Safaris invites one hunter and one observer for a true New Zealand hunting experience.

This 5-day/4-night, 1x1 guided rifle hunt for New Zealand Tahr.
Schedule this hunt with the outfitter for open dates between March 1st - April 20th 2026 or 2027, contact outfitter for details.

Unlike many outfitters, Southern Lakes Safaris offers access to over six expansive ranches, including some of the most exclusive private lands in New Zealand.

Included in this exceptional hunt:
high-quality lodging and meals at their base, professional guiding, field prep, transportation, photography, and the trophy fee for one Tahr (best available).

Not included:
any before/after hunt expenses, airfare before/after hunt, taxidermy, dipping, packing/shipment, and gratuities.

The hunt can be upgraded to include Stag, Chamois, or other species as listed in the outfitter's pricelist; additional hunters are welcome for $600 per day plus trophy fees, and non-hunters for $400 per day.
The hunt can be extended for $600 per day.
