Churchill Wild invites one guest on a 7-day Canadian Arctic Adventure featuring a Polar Bear Walking Safari where you will “shoot” with a camera, not a rifle, and capture ground-level encounters you’ll remember for a lifetime. Based at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge on the shores of Hudson Bay, with Canada’s Boreal Forest as a backdrop, this trip puts you in the heart of polar bear denning territory with opportunities to see Polar Bears, Black Bears, Wolves, Moose, and a wide variety of migratory and shore birds during Arctic summer and early fall, plus the chance to view the Northern Lights under the Aurora Oval. Days are spent on guided tundra hikes and coastal excursions on foot and in specially outfitted vehicles, glassing and photographing bears and other wildlife, followed by tundra-inspired cuisine, select Canadian wines, and evening presentations from naturalist guides on Arctic ecosystems, landscape, and life in the North; the program also includes time in Churchill to explore local history, museums, murals, and sights before returning to Winnipeg. Included are two nights’ accommodations in Winnipeg, roundtrip airfare between Winnipeg and Churchill, roundtrip airfare between Churchill and Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, four nights’ lodge accommodations, all meals, daily excursions, and guide services while in Churchill and at the lodge, plus rain gear while on-site.
