Greenland is the wildest place on earth for Arctic Char fishing, with thousands of rivers and lakes full of fish.
Due to enormous territory and few inhabitants, many fishing areas are hardly fished and some rivers have never seen an angler.
Fishing is voluntary catch-and-release, mostly light tackle. Fish size varies from 1-7+ lbs with plenty available.
Excellent local guides know the area extremely well.
River mouths are very productive when char run up rivers, while lakes connected to the ocean provide the best fishing.
Char gather in fjords near river mouths in late June and move into rivers in early July.
Best fishing time is early July through end of September.
Included:
accommodations, fishing permit, boat transportation from airport to camp (3 hours), shared guide with boat, fishing for Arctic Char and Cod and soft drinks.
Not included:
airfares, before/after trip expenses, hotel stays before/after, alcohol and gratuities.
Additional anglers welcome for $ 7,600 per angler and non-anglers for $5,900.
Arrival/departure point is Qaqortoq, Greenland.
Travel from USA to Keflavik Iceland, then to Qaqortoq where clients are picked up by boat for a 2 hour transfer to camp.
