Sherwood Outfitters invites one hunter to Alberta, Canada, for a 10-day, 1x1 guided rifle Elk hunt during open dates September 17–October 2, 2026 only; contact outfitter for complete details.
This is classic Canadian backcountry elk hunting—healthy herds, strong genetics, big country, and a true wilderness ride.
You’ll horseback 2½ hours into base camp, then hunt from a spike camp with a dedicated guide and horse wrangler for the full immersion experience: bugles at daylight, long glassing sessions, and the kind of country that makes a bull earned feel even bigger.
Included:
wall-tent accommodations, meals, guide service, horseback pack-in, field prep, and one best-available Elk.
Not included:
before/after hunt expenses, airfare, license ($100), tag fee ($350), hotel before/after, taxidermy, dipping/packing/shipping, and gratuities.
Additional hunters are welcome for $20,000 plus fees, with the option to upgrade for Whitetail Deer or Black Bear at the outfitter’s current rate.
The hunt may be extended for $1,000 per day plus fees; see outfitter for recommended gear.
