Wolverine Outfitter prides itself on providing a deep connection to nature and an authentic experience in the Talkeetna Mountains.
The Sheep/Grizzly base camp is a cabin located above the tree line, offering home-cooked meals and hot showers.
Occasionally, there will be a one-night spike camp for a more immersive experience.
The Grizzly Bears in this region showcase a stunning variety of colors, including silver tip, dark brown-blonde, blonde with dark brown boots, and some with a distinctive orange stripe down their backs.
This spot-and-stalk-style hunt is physically demanding, requiring good physical condition as you’ll be hiking to glassing areas, possibly crossing rivers or streams, and carrying a pack.
Included in this hunt:
accommodations, meals, guide service, and field prep. Additional hunters are welcome for $18,000, and non-hunters for $10,000.
The hunt may be extended for $1,800 per day, and additional game and days can be added; see the outfitter for details.
Not included:
before/after hunt expenses, hunting licenses ($160), tag ($1,000), air charter ($1,500), dip/pack/ship, transportation before and after the hunt, and gratuities.
