This is your opportunity to hunt for Glacier bear in southeast Alaska at the Alsek River Lodge located in the Glacier Bay National Park Preserve, an area that has not been hunted since 2020 prior to the former guide retiring. Since, the lodge has received major upgrades after changing ownership to registered guide Bill Kaltschnee, who is excited to once again offer hunts for this majestic species of bear. With new bears coming out of the protected area of the National Park and the lack of hunting pressure in the region, this is your shot to hunt for a legend. This 7-day 1x1 free-range hunt for one hunter is available May 1-7, 2027 and may be extended to 10 days at $8,000 or upgraded to 10 days for brown bear at $13,000. Method of take is rifle, 180+ grain, or bow. Additional hunters are welcome at $25,000. Transportation during hunting is mostly by spot & stalk, vehicle and boat. This package includes field prep, base camp and 1st/last day lodge accommodations, Wi-Fi and all meals. Not included are dip & pack service, transportation to shipper/taxidermist, transfers from Yakutat, AK to camp by Yakutat Air at $1,960, license/permit at $900, alcoholic beverages and gratuities.
