Modified Swiss 96/11 Schmidt-Rubin Straight Pull Rifle with Scope, #288443, 7.5x55mm cal., 20" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, with one detachable magazine. Issue sights have been removed. Topped with a Burris mount and 2-3/4x Burris scope. In near excellent condition, with light handling marks to the tube, optics are bright and clear. Rifle has been modified by shortening the barrel and stock forend, and removing the military hardware. Matching numbers on the barrel and magazine. Bolt does not match. No visible import marks. Condition overall is very good as modified, retaining approx. 80% blue, with some spots of light rust patina on the barrel, thinning and toning to the receiver and trigger guard. Wood is very good, with scattered scratches and handling marks. Action operates smoothly. Bore is bright with very good rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (Modern)
