Romanian Contract VZ 24 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #RR15708, 8x57mm cal., 23.6" barrel, blued finish with bright bolt assembly, hardwood stock and handguard, inverted-"V" front sight with protectors, and adjustable tangent rear sight with "V"-notched groove, graduated to 2000 meters. Steel cleaning rod is missing. Top of the receiver ring is marked with a partially visible Romanian crest and the left side receiver rail with "ZBROJOVKA BRNO,A.S.VZ 24". Matching numbered stock. Bolt does not match. Import marked on left side of the barrel. Condition overall is very good as arsenal refurbished, retaining approx. 80% blue, showing wear, and toning to the barrel, barrel bands, and trigger guard. There are small impressions on the floorplate. Factory markings are clear. Wood with general dents and scratches from service use, with a few small cracks and mars to the handguard. Action functions well. Bore with darkening in the grooves, rifling shows moderate+ wear. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
