^Lot 682 British Webley Mark IV Double Action Revolver

British Webley Mark IV Double Action Revolver, #120652, .38 S&W cal., 5" flat sided barrel, blued finish, checkered black plastic grips embossed with "Webley" logo on each side, blade front sight, fixed rear sight with "U"-notched groove, and a swiveling steel lanyard ring at the bottom of the grip frame. Top of barrel strap is marked "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD" and "MARK IV .38" on the left side. Left side of the frame is stamped "WAR FINISH" and there is a crowned "inspection stamp" on the right side. "WD" has been stamped into the butt of the grip. Matching numbers. London export proof marks on right side barrel. No recent import marks. Condition overall is very good, retaining approx. 90% black finish, with light patina spots to the cylinder and left side of the barrel. Grips are good, showing age and handling wear. Action locks up, cycles, and ejects smoothly. Top of the chamber is stamped with "*"symbol, and the bore rates fair with an area of rust at the lead, otherwise bright with very good, defined rifling.
