Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol, #62478, .380 ACP cal., 3.75" barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber two-piece Colt grips, low profile blade front and fixed "U"-notch rear sights, including one 7-round two-tone blue steel Colt magazine. Mfgd 1922. Pistol is in fine overall condition, retaining approx 94%-95% factory finish, with wear at the muzzle, scattered scratches and light edgewear. Straps show thinning finish, worse at the base of the backstrap. Factory markings are clear. Grips are fine+, showing typical light wear. Action functions well. Bore with some areas of scattered light erosion and well-defined rifling. Includes copy of Colt factory letter confirming the features, except grips which were "Not Listed", and indicating that the pistol was shipped to Shapleigh Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri on February 24, 1922, with ten guns in shipment.
