Webley WG Army Double Action Revolver, #4607, .45 ACP cal., 7.5" flat sided barrel, blued finish with bright hammer, trigger, and cam mechanism; checkered walnut grips, pinned blade front sight, fixed rear sight with "U"-notched groove, with swiveling lanyard loop. Left side of the frame marked "WEBLEY PATENTS" with a "(Winged Bullet)/W&S" trademark logo. Left side of the barrel is stamped with a crowned "BV" view stamp. No other markings except serial number. Barrel is numbered but does not match. Revolver was importer converted to .45 ACP cal. by machining off the rear of the cylinder. Condition overall is very good, retaining approx. 70% blue, showing general flaking, and patina. Grips appear to be period replacements and have been reshaped along the lower outside edge, now with general handling marks and flattening to the checkering detail. Action locks up, cycles, and extracts smoothly. Bore and chambers have some scattered spots of patina, rifling is good. Est.: $800-$1,100. (C&R)
