Custom Remington Model 37 Range Master Bolt Action Single Shot Target Rifle, #04798, .22 LR cal., 28" heavy barrel, blue finish. Custom checkered walnut heavy target stock with 2" wide beavertail forend, accessory rail and rest, exaggerated pistol grip, custom aluminum grip adapter, and ends with a ribbed aluminum adjustable Freeland buttplate, providing a 13.75" LOP. Rifle also features a trigger shoe; sight blocks at the muzzle, mid-point, and breech of the barrel; aperture sight base at the left rear of the receiver. Mfgd circa 1937-1940. Rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 85%-90% thinning blue finish, with wear at the muzzle and edges, scattered light scuffs and scratches. Trigger guard has been refinished, now with a mottled appearance, and scattered spots of light corrosion. Stock is in very good condition with scattered scrapes and scratches on both sides of the forend, flattening of the checkering, and numerous minor indentations. Action functions smoothly with a crisp trigger. Bore is very good with well-defined rifling. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R)
