Colt Model 1911A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1090941, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, with blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one WWII "S" marked magazine. Mfg'd 1943. Frame is marked "GHD" (Guy H. Drewry) inspection mark, with a "P" on the left side. Right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". "(Crossed Cannons)" final inspection stamp at the rear is faint. Trigger guard is marked with an "F" and "VP" in a triangle. Slide is serial numbered to the receiver under the firing pin plate, with patent dates to Aug. 19, 1913, "(Rampant Colt)" logo, and Colt company markings on the left side; with a "P" on top. Replacement barrel is marked "HS". Pistol is in very good+ overall condition, retaining approx. 80%-85% parkerized finish, with high point wear, scattered spots of missing finish, mild frosting, and patina. Grips are very good. Rear sight has been reshaped with a file and left in the white. Action works properly. Bore is very good bore with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (C&R/PPT)
