Ithaca/Colt Model 1911A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1271195, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, with standard blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one "COLT/.45 AUTO" marked magazine. Frame was made by Ithaca in 1943 and is marked "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection mark and "P" on the left side. Right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on the right side. Faint "(crossed cannons)" final inspection mark is located at the rear. Slide has Colt patent dates to Aug. 19, 1913, "(Rampant Colt)" logo, and Colt company markings on the left side; with a "P" on top. Barrel is marked "F" (Flannery). Pistol is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 90% parkerized finish, with most of the wear on the edges of the frame and slide.Otherwise, showing general light marks from handling and use. Grips are very good. Action works properly. Bore is very good with clearly defined rifling. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
