Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1889389, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, with standard blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one WWII "L" marked magazine. Mfg'd 1944. Frame is marked "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection mark and "P" on the left side. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on the right side. "(Crossed Cannons)" final inspection mark is at the rear. Slide is marked "ITHACA GUN CO. INC./Ithaca N.Y." on the left side, with a "P" on top. Blued Springfield barrel is marked "S P". Pistol is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 80% thinning and toning parkerized finish, with wear on the grip area and high points. Displaying intermittent small spots of freckled patina. Factory lettering is clear. Grips are good, showing moderate wear. Slide works properly, but the slide stop plunger, plunger spring, and safety catch plunger are missing. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
