First Year Astra Model 900 Broomhandle Semi-Automatic Pistol, #6767, 7.63x25mm cal., 5.5" barrel, blued finish, grooved walnut grips, inverted "V" fixed front sight and tangent rear sight adjustable from 50-1000 meters, no provision for a lanyard ring, backstrap is cut for a shoulder stock. Right side of frame with Spanish proof marks and date code indicating 1927 year of manufacture. Left sideplate is marked in one-line ""ASTRA" AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL. 7.63". Additionally, the lower edge of the sideplate has what looks like a small Chinese character and the number "6065". Import marked on underside of the barrel. Condition is fair overall, mostly brown mixed with toned blue finish, scattered light to medium pitting, and general small surface blemishes. Factory lettering is clear. Some of the proof marks show wear but are still legible. Grips show age and wear that is consistent with the pistols overall condition, including darkening, dents, and a few moderate chips. Action functions well. Bore is poor, with erosion scattered throughout, rifling shows heavy wear. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
