U.S. Remington Arms Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle, #3548462, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, parkerized finish, bright bolt, walnut stock, no sights. Rifle was commercially made into a sniper rifle with some blued parts, and topped with a Redfield base and El Paso Weaver K2.5 scope with blued finish and fine crosshair reticle. Scope optics are clear, exterior shows moderate age and wear. Receiver marking is partially visible due to the scope mount. Barrel is marked "RA/(Flaming Bomb)/3-43" with a "P" underneath. Rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 85%+ reblued finish, with wear on the trigger housing and front of the barrel. Stock is a Smith-Corona with a boxed "FJA" (Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood) cartouche and circled "P" behind the trigger guard. Stock is in very good condition, with wear mostly in front of the barrel band, and a channel was added for the bent bolt. Action works properly and has a replacement commercial safety. Four-groove bore is very good with clearly defined rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,400. (C&R)
