British No.8 Mk1 Single Shot Lee Enfield Bolt Action Training Rifle, #A12470, .22 rimfire cal., 23.25" barrel, blackened finish, hardwood stock set with handguard, blade front sight with protectors, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with aperture graduated to 100 yards, with an additional "H" setting for use with landscape targets. Made with a special short bolt assembly and fixed grooved loading tray. There is a target style sling swivel mounted to the front trigger guard screw. Left side of the receiver is faintly marked ".22 No.8 Mk 1/A12470". Left side of the action body is stamped "CR324/M47C/195?/A12470". Magazine cover and barrel band stamped with part numbers. Matching numbers on the bolt handle and forend. Birmingham export proof stamps on the bolt head, barrel, and receiver ring. Condition overall is very good, retaining approx. 80%-85% blackened finish, with scratches and finish loss primarily to the barrel and bolt assembly. Wood is very good with scattered handling marks and impressions to the darkened stained finish. There is a small chip to right side of the handguard. Action operates smoothly.
