Colt Standard Model Semi-Automatic Shotgun, #C071446, 20 ga., 26" vent rib barrel is marked IC but measures CYL, chamber is 2-3/4". Auto-loading action is adapted from the earlier Franchi short recoil action, which was based upon the reliable Remington model 11-48 line of guns. Alloy receiver is a deep blue, unengraved except for "Colts PT. F.A. Mfg. CO. Hartford, CT, USA. Made in Italy". Slender finger groove forend and pistol grip buttstock are of "B" grade oil-finished walnut, with hand checkering at 20 LPI, silver "Colt" White-Line buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14-1/4" x 1-5/8" x 2-1/2". Mfgd in Italy for Colt in approx. 1966. Condition of the gun appears new and unfired, with very few handling marks to the wood, sharp checkering, little wear to the bolt face or action, which closes very tight and cycles correctly; bore is mirror bright.
