Darne Model V19 Sliding Breech Shotgun, #SP1911, 28 ga., 26-5/8" solid rib barrels have brass bead front sight, 2-3/4" chambers and are choked CYL/IC. This unique double trigger action uses a sliding breech lock-up with quick double ejection upon opening. The lower half of the coin-finished receiver is fixed, with the top half the sliding top breech. On this model, the engraving is top quality rose and scroll, with chiseled fences; safety is on the LH side. Splinter forend and round knob pistol grip buttstock are presentation grade oil-finished walnut, with ebony forend tip, thorough checkering, and a Pachmayr "Old English" pad. Mfgd in 1964 in France. All contained in an oak/leather hard case. Condition is fine overall, retaining approx. 96%-97% finish. With expected wear to action and intermittent light handling marks to the wood.
