^Lot 56 Remington-Rider Magazine Pistol

Remington-Rider Magazine Pistol, #NVSN, .32 RF Extra Short cal., 3" barrel, nickel finish, two-piece rosewood grips, with half-moon blade front sight. Top of the barrel is marked in two-lines "REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y./RIDERS PAT. AUG. 15TH, 1871". Mfgd circa 1871-1888, with approx. 15,000 produced. Metal is very good, displaying a mixture of muted nickel finish and bare gray metal, with general mild pitting. Grips are good with several moderate dents, scratches, and finish wear to both panels. Action is crisp. Rifling is clearly defined, bore is generally dark with scattered spots of moderate erosion. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique) (Michael Strietbeck Collection)
