Remington Model 1890 Single Action Army Revolver, #1343, .44-40 cal., 7.5" barrel, nickel finish, checkered period two-piece ivory grips, blade front sight, and fixed "V"-notched rear sight, with lanyard ring. Barrel is marked in one line "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." Left side of the frame is marked 44 C.F.W." Serial number located on left side of the grip frame. The Remington Model 1890 was manufactured between 1891-1896 with a total production of only 2,020 units. Overall condition of this revolver is very good+, retaining approx. 65%-70% nickel finish, showing scattered spots of flaking and light erosion. Period checkered ivory grips are in fine condition, no major blemishes, and add nicely to the overall appearance of this revolver. Factory markings are clear. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly.
