Remington Model 1890 Single Action Revolver, #135, .44-40 cal., 5.75" barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber grips with "RA" monogram, fixed German silver blade front sight and notched rear sight, with lanyard ring at the butt. Barrel address reads "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." Left side of the frame is marked 44 C.F.W." Serial number located on left side of the grip frame and scratched into the back of each grip. The Remington Model 1890 was manufactured between 1891-1896 with a total production of only 2,020 units. Overall condition is very good, displaying an even dark brown patina to the metal surfaces, scattered areas of light pitting, with traces of blue finish in the cylinder flutes and some of the protected areas. Factory lettering is clear. Grips are near excellent, with minimal handling marks. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore with several small spots/specks of erosion, rifling rates near fine.
