Civilian Remington Model 1865 Navy Rolling Block Pistol, #NVSN, .50 RF cal., 8.5" round barrel, no finish, walnut grip with lanyard ring, walnut forend, fixed blade front sight, and small "U"-notched groove located on the breechblock. Top of barrel is marked with small naval anchor near the breech. No barrel address or serial number on the barrel. Left side of the frame is marked in two-lines with makers information and "April 17th 1866" last patent date. Overall condition is good, with light pitting and dark patina scattered throughout. Wood with intermittent moderate dents and scratches, with an old chip missing from bottom rear of the forend. Factory markings are clear. Action functions well.
