Marked "Six Seamless Skin / CARTRIDGES, / With Percussion Caps. / FOR COLTS, WHITNEY OR REMINGTONS / Navy Pistol, 36-100 Caliber, / Hotchkiss` Patent, Feb. 11 (illegible) / MANUFACTURED FOR W. J. SYMS & BRO / 300, Broadway, N.Y. / by D. C. SAGE, Middletown, Conn." In very good overall condition with intact string-pull. Paper wrapping is complete but shows age, with several areas of green or brown discoloration, primarily on the printed side. Reference: "Percussion Ammunition Packets" by Malloy, Thomas, & White, pg. 38, #149. 2,) Marked "Six Seamless Skin / CARTRIDGES, / FOR COLTS NAVY PISTOL. / 15 grs. 36/100 Caliber. / Hotchkiss` Patent, Feb. 11th, 1862. / Manufactured by D. C. SAGE & Co. / MIDDLETOWN, Conn. U.S.A. / W. J. Syms & Bro. sole Agents 300 Broadway N.Y." In near fine condition, with intact string-pull. The top front edge was either coming apart or perhaps opened and then repaired/resealed with adhesive. Package appears to be full.
