Wild West Period Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver, #297735, .31 cal., 4" barrel, blued finish with color case hardened frame, loading lever, and hammer; traces of silver finish to the brass trigger guard and backstrap, with hardwood finely grained grips. Mfgd 1867. Overall condition is near fine, with majority of the barrel assemblys blued finish remaining, and considerable case colors present on the frame and hammer. Markings are sharp, including the cylinder scene. Grips with outstanding grain patterns and majority of their rich oil finish remaining. Action is crisp. Bore is near fine with clear rifling.
