Tower Flintlock Sea Service Pistol, #NVSN, .56 cal., 12" barrel, gray patina to most metal parts with a brass trigger guard, buttcap, sideplate, and one brass retaining thimble for the wood ramrod. Hardwood stock. Markings include "TOWER" at the rear of the lockplate, and "(Crown)/GR". There are also three small proofs at the breech end of the barrel. Mfgd circa mid-to-late 1700s. Overall condition is good with a gray patina and scattered pinprick pitting confined primarily to the barrel & hammer. Hardwood stocks are good, retaining an old rich oil finish.
