Late Edo period, pre 1867. 16 7/8” overall length with , 8 1/4” triangular point blade with equal sides, each side of blade has a thin 4 1/2" fuller in the center. Unsigned 8 3/4" tapered tang with a single mounting hole. Tang rusted over tool finish. Blade is excellent. Sharp, triangular point, optimized for thrusting and penetrating armor.
