^Lot 995 Russell Arms New Volunteer 12 Ga #146664

Vintage single-shot 12 Ga. hammer shotgun, top lever, 30" round barrel with brass sighting bead,smooth splinter walnut forearm and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock, black composite buttplate with image of solider holding rifle above "Russell Arms Co." and above it "New Volunteer". No other markings except matching serial number on barrel lug and lower tang. Lever on left receiver to screw off barrel. Bore is good/bright, barrel locks up tight, wood is very good. Nickel action has mostly turned a brown patina from handling. We could not find any reference to this gun.
