Navajo Amelia Joe-Chandler's jewelry is designed after the Dine’ (Navajo) philosophy of life, which encompasses air, fire, water, and earth. The four sacred directions, colors, plants, and mountains are also an integral part of her designs. Her jewelry is set in sterling silver. Both rings are shaped like Navajo hogans, the smaller has a cabochon of turquoise on top and is size 5 1/2; the other is larger and the top lifts up to reveal inside living quarters with furniture. Has a coral tube for smoke from chimney, size 5 1/2". Truly a conversation piece. Both maker marked AJC and the artist's mark.
